My friend Gary Davidson came up with these steps when we were fighting the County's ill conceived and bizarrely supported 2015 Bond Packages. Gary is a lawyer/finance guy who spent many years on the Pima County Bond Commissions and Pima County Parks and Recreation Commission.
If you are board member, employee or member of a business/advocacy group that wants to create a better Tucson region, then this is for you. Keep it simple. If your group isn't advocating for these very basic principles, DROP YOUR MEMBERSHIP AND SAVE YOUR ANNUAL DUES PAYMENT.
Please notice that we don't use the overused and deflection term economic
development. Deliver on the steps below and the business will come!

1- Deliver excellent roads
2- Deliver excellent public safety
3- Deliver excellent parks
4- Create a reasonable, balanced, consistent, predictable, and fairly applied reg structure.
5- Tax only enough to deliver on 1 through 4.
My addition
6- Elevate 3rd grade reading levels. We should aim for 60% of 3rd graders should be reading at grade level. The long term effects on the community would be a true game changer, not just for the region, but young peoples lives.
